ABOUT NEXT GENERATION
OUR MISSION
The mission of NeXt Generation of Dance is to provide participants with a comprehensive artistic education that fosters excellence in all forms of dance in a manner that embraces a passion for dance as an art form. NeXt Generation of Dance strongly believes in making dance accessible to everyone. Our high quality instructors are trained to meet the needs of all of our dancers. In addition, a key goal for NeXt Generation is to instill in its dancers an enthusiasm for and desire to have a positive influence within their community. We are working to provide inclusive recreational programs for people with cognitive, physical, and sensory disabilities that expand their access to opportunities that promote health, wellness and greater functional independence. We do this by developing, delivering and evaluating innovative barrier-free programs in which both people with disabilities and their non-disabled peers may participate, collaborate and recreate from ages 2-102!

Sisters by blood, best friends by choice, and partners by dream; Taylor & Avrey Pellicane have turned their dreams into reality and will be bringing dance education and it’s variety of cultures into the community at the NeXt level. These partners have both the experience and knowledge to make a joyful, unique, and safe environment to anyone looking to join, from ages 2-102 no matter what their physical or cognitive state.
Taylor Alexandra, 21, forever dreamt of following in her mother’s footsteps and with the guidance of her mother Amy, Taylor has the same passion and dedication that drives her work ethic which helped pursue the business. Former New Jersey Nets Dancer, Taylor was born with natural and pure talent and it wasn’t long for people to fall in love with her star like quality the second she hit the stage. Taylor began her dancing in creative combo classes at age 4 at her local Long Island studio participating on the competition and company team.
During high school she was a member of the Commack Varsity Cougarettes and after graduation she did nothing less than pursue her dance career in the big city. As a winter intern at Broadway Dance Center, Taylor has been mentored from a wide variety of prestige professionals. As her technique grew she had the privilege of working at The Barclays center, with Glamour Magazine, The Bitter End, Stiletto Entertainment, Dirty Sugar, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, as well as international performances in London, Russia and Spain. Taylor is excited to start this new chapter of her life and share this experience with her participants. Taylor promises to provide unconditional respect, time, and energy to her business making the NeXt Generation of Dance inc. the NeXt best educated dance facility on the Island!
The dynamic duo wouldn’t be successful without Taylor’s right hand woman Avrey. Avrey Gabrielle, 25, has too always dreamt of opening a studio where everyone had equal ability to participate no matter what your age, ability, or disability. Just like her younger sister Taylor, Avrey grew up at her local Long Island studio where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip hop. Avrey found her niche when she became serious about her favorite style, hip hop. Avrey has been choreographing hip hop routines since high school when she was invited to the World International Hip Hop competition showcase. She has danced and choreographed for an all Deaf dance company in New York City. Her professional dance career consisted of being on the AFL New York Dragons Fire Dancers and NHL Islanders Ice Breaker team. Avrey was also the first director and choreographer for the Brooklyn Cyclones Beach Bums. When Avrey wasn’t dancing on the teams she was busy choreographing award winning competition teams, music videos, DJ dancing, and going to school. At school Avrey studied American Sign Language and Therapeutic Recreation.
With the support from her family, Avrey will be combining her love for dance as well as her skills of a recreational therapist to integrate dancers with disabilities into NeXt Generation of Dance. Her vision is coming to life at the studio where it has been designed to fit ADA requirements allowing any one with a disability the right to recreate. Being a certified personal trainer, Avrey knows how important physical exercise can enhance the quality of life and that’s why she welcomes seniors to her Senior Fit class, as well as dancers with disabilities to any inclusion class. Avrey is very excited for this new endeavor because she can finally combine school and work together.
