HEATHER BECVAR

Heather is a Board-Certified Music Therapist who has experience working with a variety of client populations across New York and Connecticut, as well as internationally. Her experience includes children, adolescents, adults and seniors of varying abilities and disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, multiple developmental disorders and delays, learning disorders, neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders, vision impairments, hearing impairments, childhood cancer patients, Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Heather has experience working in a variety of settings including private homes, residential group homes, private clinics, summer camps, hospitals, homeless shelters and schools ranging from pre-school through high school.  

Heather received her Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Molloy College in Rockville Centre, NY. 

 

Heather focuses on using a humanistic approach to music therapy, priority being on building a client/therapist relationship through the music, as well as working to reach individual goals. Heather recently began a partnership with Ann Marie A. Pizano (founder) and Allie Miller (Lyrical Art Instructor) at Seeds of Love Creative Enrichment Center as the Adjunct Music Therapist.
