MICHELLE DONDERO

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Michelle is an East Northport native with a passion for dance, travel and film. Her training began at age seven in ballet, jazz and contemporary. Her love of performance led her to further explore her talents at the Ohman School of Ballet and the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City. Her commercial dance career began after her internship at Broadway Dance Center in 2010. She was signed with a prestigious talent agency and appeared on television in NBC’s Nate Berkus Show and ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition. She modeled for Dance Spirit Magazine and was a recent judge for CMSV’s BOOM Dance Competition. Throughout college, at Fordham University, her love for hip-hop grew, and she became the Creative Director and President of the Urban Dance Crew, Flava.

Michelle is eager to train and further develop her skills in movement, visual arts, and video production. Her love of learning has taken her across the world- most recently to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was there that she trained extensively in Contemporary and Jazz Funk, at the Centro de Movimento de Deborah Colker under Edney DConti and Raffaele Casuccio. In addition to dancing, she studied figure drawing, bamboo design and post- production. The skills she learned and the people she met have impacted her journey; a path she believes is just getting started.

Upon returning home, Michelle continues to take class at Broadway Dance Center and other NYC studios. Michelle was recently selected to dance under the instruction of Dana Foglia for her NYC Heels Intensive Program- training in performance quality and of course, stiletto heels. Michelle is excited to shape her career and pass down the knowledge she’s gained from her experiences.
