GENERAL RULE

At NeXt Generation of Dance, the studio and highly qualified teachers are dedicated to teach young students about the art, culture and appreciation of dance. All students must be respectful to their teachers, peers, and studio itself. Students are expected to show up to class ready to learn and on time, that means giving yourself enough time to change clothes, shoes, etc. Sitting or hanging on the ballet bars are strictly prohibited, so is chewing gum, eating in the dance rooms, or wearing street shoes in the dance rooms. All garbage should go into the proper garbage receptacles.

STUDIO POLICIES

REGISTRATION FEES & MONTHLY TUITION

Tuition is based on a 10 month season with 9 payments. June tuition has been included in each of the 9 months of the monthly payment. A late fee will be applied to any accounts passed 45 days. We offer cash, checks, and credit cards. All credit cards will be charged the first of the month unless otherwise specified. There is a $15 charge for all returned checks.

PLACEMENT

Placement in the appropriate class is important to each student’s skill development and personal growth. For students younger than seven, placement is based on the student’s age as of the first day of class. For students age seven and older, skill level and experience are also considered. The studio directors and instructors will monitor each student’s progress and communicate results to students and parents regularly. Premature advancement to the next level can have a profound and negative impact both on a student’s self-confidence and on skill acquisition and development in proper technique. The directors and instructor’s placement decisions are thoroughly thought out and always meant to be in the best interest of the student.

In order to attain growth within any dance discipline students must attend class on a regular basis. If an emergency arises and you need to miss class, please call NeXt Generation of Dance and leave a message for your child’s teacher. Students will not be included in performance choreography if repeatedly absent from class. The week of rehearsals prior to the end of year show is mandatory for all dancers performing in the show; this is the same for competition students who have a competition that weekend.  Students must arrive promptly for class and be prepared to take class in proper attire with hair up and shoes on. Tardiness disrupts the entire class and is a hazard to the dancer’s safety. Habitual tardiness or any other disruptive behavior will result in parents being contacted.

MAKE UP CLASS

Please notify the studio as soon as possible if you are going to miss a class. Makeup classes will be rescheduled as needed.
